A one-part, room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone adhesive/sealant for high temperature industrial applications including formed-in-place gaskets is available from Dampney Company, Inc. of Everett, Massachusetts.
Dampney Thurmalox® 2655 High Temperature RTV Silicone Adhesive/Sealant is 100% silicone rubber and cures to a tough, elastomeric rubber at room temp-erature, retains permanent flexibility from -80°F to 550°F, and withstands intermittent exposure to 650°F. Highly resistant to chemical attack, this versatile high temperature sealant will not sag, slump, or run during appli- cation and is unaffected by moisture, weather, UV radiation, and ozone.
Easy to apply using a standard caulking gun, Dampney Thurmalox® 2655 High Temperature RTV Silicone Adhesive/Sealant adheres well to most surfaces including metals, painted substrates, ceramics, glass, rubber, and plastics. Applications include sealing hot surfaces of boilers, fired heaters, stoves, furnaces, flue pipes, valves, process and air pollution control equipment, gearboxes and tanks containing hot fluids, electrical equipment, and more.
Dampney Thurmalox® 2655 High Temperature RTV Silicone Adhesive/Sealant is available in a 10.3 fl.Oz. polyethylene cartridge.
